moving right along

I'm sure you've heard it before- this is the year I'm going to tackle all those UFOs. Well, here's the first of what I hope will be many. A very strange scarf made of a brilliantly colored green (photo doesn't do it justice) recycled silk with small bits of a recycled sari yarn mixed it. If nothing else, it will make for a conversation piece at work.

happy new year?

The new year began for me about 1PM on new years eve, a call from my neurologist with the results from my spinal tap confirming a Primary Progressive MS diagnosis. 2010 should be a challenge.Lots of wool and knitting and crocheting over the weekend has kept me somewhat centereed. What would I do without my hooks and needles?

Christmas Eve

Been ill, miss Maine and my family, boo hoo kind of day. I have a big box of Bartlettyarns in the living room to help take away some of my pain. Real wool in sheeps colors with lanolin. Woo Hoo!

Fruition

Way back in April, I drove to Missouri and picked up designer Kim Guzman (and son Christian) and we drove to Big Sandy Texas to film the DVD for Kim's Learn to Do Tunisian Lace Stitches. What a trip! The whole process confirmed what an extraordinary designer Kim is, as well as what a genuinely wonderful person.
